Anyone have these on their truck? They seem super handy, as any cop will tell you.

Anyone know a good source?

U can get them from police supply companies like Galls, www.galls.com. I dont have them on my truck but have them on my work vehicle (cop car) and they are very handy. Get the highest quality one that u can afford.

May also want to check local laws to see if u can have them though, I would hate to cut a hole in the A-pillar and then find out that there are prohibited. I dont know of any law here in Michigan that prohibites them, but u never know.

Mac do a search on Galls for "vehicle spotlight" and there have about five different models and the replacement bulbs. I'd post a link but cant figure it out.

Found them that time, thanks. They need to update their menus for browsing by catagory. Anyone know if the driver's side "door mount" interferes with a full pillar gauge mount? I'm assuming I'll just get one for the passenger side because of the gauges.

Mac, judging by where they are mounted in our cars at work they probably would interfere with a full pillar mount of gauages. I would say that they are mounted maybe 4-6 inches up from the height of the front of the dash, if you can visualize that.

Hope this helps

They would most likely interfere. I also know that in SD you can only have one. A second one is restricted to Law Enforcement. So as mentioned earlier make sure you know the laws relating to it as well.

I looked into putting the spotlights. A company that installs them on alot of Cop cars around here, told me they had only done door mounts on 2nd Gens. I wanted black arms & a black spot light, but the arms only came chrome or stainless.

I decided that it wasn't that big of deal right now, so I put it off.

My Ford truck was originally owned by BNSF railroad, and it has a spotlight on the pillar. Never worked since I bought the truck, though. Would be handy.

IIRC, www.jcw.com has, or did have the spotlights for sale.

Had Unity spot lights on both sides of my '99 also had pillar guages and they fit just fine - - on second gen dodges the spotlights mount on the doors.
