Cummins Camper pullin a nice load.

Hello All,

I am wondering who here knows anything about the above disease. I have been confirmed to have it. I have had astma and other breathing related issues for several years. I am only 32. I have never, Ever smoked ANTHING and I nearly died from this on Monday. Was in Hospital til today. I am well enough to be at home and continue recovery. I now am the proud owmer of not less that 11 prescriptions that I must take. They say it is not reversable, but hopefully I can control it and keep from getting worse.

The info on Web-MD all is good, but even as the doc said, this disease mostly afflicts older adults with a lond smoking carreer. Not much info out there on "young" cases.

Sorrry for long post, but anyone outhere got and info, or stories to share.

Tony,

Tony... ... ... along with Steve, my best to you. Keep eveything in check.

Hopefully someone with MD knowledge will chime in for you.

Here's a good one

Tony,

My wife was diagnosed with COPD,Emphsema about 2 years ago.

I found the EFFORTS group to be the most informative and they eagerly answer questions. The only "gothch" is if you subscribe to the mailing list... the mail is overwhelming but it is worth it for the knowledge gained. I subscribe to it when I'm home, and get off when I can't read it every day. The web page has most of the info on it also... http://www.emphysema.net

We found you have to educate yourself pretty much. The wifes Pulmo is a good one but we still have to educate ourselves.

Good luck...

Fuzz

Best wishes Tony,

I had asthma as a child and usually get bronchitis when I catch a cold. I can sympathize with someone who has that "air hunger. "I usually see it on EMS calls but like you know, it's usually affecting older adults with a long history of smoking. Make sure your doctor is progressive and keeps up to date on new developments, keep taking your meds, stay informed and stay away from sick people.

Good Luck,

Dan
