Core charge on new injectors????

Has anybody heard of having to hand over their stock injectors for cores when buying a new set of bigger Bosches??? This happened to a friend of mine... . he wanted the stock injectors back after the install in case he wanted to put the truck back to stock. He was told they need to be sent back as cores. Is this a bunch of BS or the truth?

Some want cores, some $100 core charge, others price accordingly without cores - look around. I got DD2s on special without having to pony up my old ones or a core charge.

Yep, it's true

You almost always have to give them your factory ones back, or you can pay the core charge and keep them. Each company charges a different amount for the core's. I chose to keep mine, and pay the hundred bucks.

My 370s had no core charge.

When I purchased the BD 3's, no core charge (still have the stock injectors). When I went to the BD 5's, last summer, Bully Dog gave me a $500. 00 credit if I turned in the 3's, which I did. Cost me all of $495. 00 to upgrade to the 5's, all done through Auto Wurks Diesel.
