Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) correct fuel filter??

In the last filter kit that I got from Geno's the fuel filters were brown and had three o-rings. The latest kit I received the fuel filters are back and have two o-rings already installed. Installed on late Friday night and it seems to be working so far. Emailed Geno's to ask but it's the weekend. Just want to verify that it is the correct filter The truck is a 99.

Fuel Filter

Sounds like you have the correct filter.



Fleetguard superseded the old P/N: FS19528 (brown ends, 3 o-rings which needed to be installed)



with P/N: FS19598 (black ends, 2 o-rings pre-installed, 1 (small) o-ring to be installed by user; slightly smaller diameter).



As I understand it, they redesigned the filter when they took production in-house.
