I searched to no avail. I have a 2004.5 and am going to have the HVAC doors(Heatertreater), evaporator and the leaking heater core replaced. I am gathering up the parts. I am having trouble with the OEM AC evaporator part number. Is it supposed to be 5140726AB or (superceded part number?) 68234947AA? I am trying to avoid stepping foot inside a dealership and ordering the parts online. I also saw reference to a thicker unit for different years?
thanks,
Tom

Tom,
Just played around with this. Using your VIN gives me the 5073970AA. There are two heater box assemblies used, an (HAA) and an (HAD). I suspect one is dual zone. Regardless they both use the 5073970AA and when using your VIN the 5073970AA is the only choice.

When I place it into my dealer's cart it is not priced and also carries a "Call Dealer" message. I suspect that your research regarding the supercedure is correct and were I to finalize the test order I would get a 68234947AA.
If you want I will call my dealer Monday and make sure about the new number.

For some reason the order cart within Repair Link will not show supercedures or many alternative part numbers.
