Looking for a product that will help prevent corrosion?!I HIGHLY recommend this product, PETRO TAPE WRAP. It is composed mainly with petroleum, inert fillers and special anti-corrosive agents for protection against corrosion and waterproofing. It has good resistance to acids and salts. It comes in a roll 2" x 33' and is available at good marine stores. Cost is about $14-$16 USD.
This tape is gooey and can be formed around anything and can be reinstalled if you have to take something apart for any reason.
I use this product for ALL my electronic connections and hydraulic fittings on my commerical fishing vessel. From experience I know that hydraulic fittings look new after more than 3 years of constant exposure to sun, wind and seawater.
