cost of paint job?

How much would a typical paint job cost for my D-250? What are some of the variables that go into the cost of a paint job. Say I wanted to get the cheapest, yet still decent-won't fade in two years-won't bubble-won't flake, paint job... how much (estimated figure) would that cost. I no nothing about autobody. Thanks!!

Hi jaynes, I can only give you info from my personal expierence. I have a 89 ice blue bad paint peeling and surface rust on hood and doors. I had it painted at a private shop in Madison Alabam , they stripped it down to metal and started over ,as reported by my picky son it is a beautiful job for 2K im happy. The second is a 93 red it started to peel the protective coat no damage to the paint or primer yet I had it painted at a shop in santee Ca. 1500$. its a good paint job however i too am picky and can see some dust trapped in the paint . I also checked several of the nat. chain shops and was terribly dissappointed at their price quotes and install methods. Good luck on your quest. l

i had my 96 CC done this past year for 1600 bucks..... other places i called were starting @ 4000 before even looking at my truck... hope that gives you a ball park figure. .
