Has anyone paid for this? Just want to know what the cost is so that I can weigh that against the cost of the Dynatrac hub set-up. Thanks.

More info

We need more information about your truck. What year, model, 4 wheel ABS or rear wheel abs. Thanks, Sam

No I'm sure they charge and arm and a leg for labor, for both sides to be replaced plus labor I bet it would be over $1000, easy.

You need to pull everything off the knuckle and getting the hub out of the knuckle can be a pain.

I just got mine replace last month in Newnan Ga for $1042. 00 in Atlanta the wanted $1350. 00 plus tax. What is this Dynatrack you all are talikng about?

Kerm, how many miles were on your truck when you replaced the bearings? Did the dealer do it, and did that include labour? Any off road use? And what are the details of your truck? Dynatrac is coming out with a manual hub kit for 3rd Gens that gets rid of the unitized factory set-up.

Ok, about my truck. It is a 04, 3500 dually 4x4. I have 22. 5 alcoas with 255x70x22. 5"s for tires. So, there is probably a bit more wear on the berrings with the increased load. But, the truck had about 88k on it when they really got bad(wobbling). A dealer did the job for me. They charged $1042. 00 for the whole thing with tax and labor included. I am on gravel roads and dirt roads that are pretty muddy and washed out all the time during hunting season. So, if you consider that off-road use, then yes. So, what dose a typical Dynatrack kit cost? If it switches you back to the "normal" berrings on shaft type design then I think that it is defnitely worth it even if it is more. Then next time you need to replace the berrings it will only cost a fraction of the cost of replacing the whole assembly. Just my 10cents.

If your wheel bearings need changing the manual hub kit price look a lot better. I could get a kitchen pass then. Well maybe. Had no idea the oem bearings cost so much. I want the 2-lo bad. Might have to sell something around here before the end of the month!

If all you want is 2-lo, there are a lot of ways to temporarily disable the front axle disconnect.
