San Diego RV parks

I know a guy who has a service connected disability, not 100% but any % will do, who put his disabled veteran plates on the RV. No more excessive $$ for him, you can put it on any vehicle you choose except motor cycles and mopeds.

$764. 00 for one year? Must be T plates. My F plates @ 34k are $184. 00 for a year but they do have a lot of restrictions of use. I also live in Oregon and if I am not mistaken the threshold for nonrv trailers license is 8k. Also permanent plated trailers can not be towed by standard registration plated vehicles.

I have 2 'T' plated trucks, my Dodge 3500 and my Ford Excursion. $ 764. 00 each, one due 12/31 and the other up 03/31/10. 8k or 10k does matter I have 2 14k trailers and a 10,200 trailer that I load to the max. I am pretty sure its 10k Gross need the perm plates.

TboneMan and MMeier, I already do the late renewal on-line. It saved $20 off the 70 dollar fee. This year we're going south for Christmas till January when the tags will be expired. I might just haul it home with expired tags and still wait to renew in the spring.

Was told by DMV there is a $50. 00 surcharge now? Mine went from $126 to $186. We need in Jan so I have to bite the bullet

I have a better idea! Just vote them all out! Get somebody new in there. If the new guy hangs with the rest of them, get rid of him too. It won't take long to get the message across that we're not happy. ;)

That's why we vote, lets let them know!

I have a DV plate in Louisiana. $5. 00 for life. Its on the Dodge. It cain't be put on a trailer or RV. Also, In louisiana you can have a lifetime tag for $75. 00 for non-commercial trailers. I have one on the RV and 2 enclosed cargo trailers. I reckon that's why we have such crappy roads!:D

Normally you need atleast 50% disibility for the DV tag.

All DV's should get a significant lowering of things like registration if not zero. To all DV's on TDR or others you know. You have my sincere gratitude. Thank you so very much.

This year in California my 08 Warrior is 552. 00:eek:

Someone mentioned road condition, insinuating cheating the government out of the road fees, to an earlier post I made.

($552/year)/miles driven by most RVs = robery IMO

I call BS, the state isn't gonna go bankrupt by folks skirting plate fees. But it might go bankrupt by those with fingers in the till in places like Sacramento and poor money management skills.

Amen, the license fees are a very small part of the revenue that could/should be used for road repairs. We have about 18 cents per gallon tax here in Tx. The fingers in the till is the problem I think. bg

Well don't move Oregon my 28 footer is $197 for two years and going up to $300 for two years next time around. It does not seem right when I pay $58 for two years for my truck which I use all the time and the trailer only moves about two months a year. But the truck is going up to $78 for two years next time around.

True - but NO fee on trailers under 1000 lbs - like boat or ATV trailers - so it sorta evens out... :-laf

PSSSSssst! Don't tell them we ALSO have no state sales tax... :-laf
