Competition Could 8 men drag a CTD backwards at WOT (tug o war)

Hey guys I was shocked when I saw this. It is the most powerful production car. Mercades-Benz AMG CL65 V12 Bi-turbo 612 HP 738TQ being drug backwards by 8 rugby players.



So its essentally a tug of war or a slead pull.

Get a jeep @ 3500#-ish.



Take a way the WET pavement



Detune the motor to 100hp with 4wd engaged.



They had 16 feet on the ground with contact patches possibly greater then the 4 wheels



Note when he spun, he lost.



Gota love top gear tho. Possibly the BEST gear head show I've ever seen. Sure kicks the crap outa anything on Spike and Speed.

5th Gear and top Gear are great shows and like Jason said nothing out here even compares. The get the bassest cars in production and then drive them how we would all test them. They are also execellent drivers with no fear of wrecking these 100K cars by putting it in a 4 wheel drift at 100mph. Simply awesome.

11. 6 in the 1/4 is smoking fast for a luxury car on street tires that isnt designed to be drag raced.



That's quicker in the 1/4 then the 505hp 2006 Z06



I would love to own one and use it as a sleeper since it look's exactly just like your average benz.



The car really shines on the freeway and would be the ***** if it wasnt goverened at 155mph like all german cars.

Too bad its a benz though. I would much prefeer a BMW over a MB and while the 500hp V10 in the M5 is nice its still not a twin turbo v12 with 730 TQ!!!



Have you seen the 5th Gear on the 06 Z06???? If I had the $$$ I'd definetly get the Z06. I dont like the label that goes along with the Corvette name but you cant deny its all out performance and value. I wish I could have all the performance on the new Z06 but in the new 09 Camaro body. That would be more like myself.

I dont like the label that goes along with the Corvette name but you cant deny its all out performance and value. I wish I could have all the performance on the new Z06 but in the new 09 Camaro body. That would be more like myself.

This vette has just headers, different cats and muffler changes. so 20HP, if that. Assuming that information is accurate... good for a 10th

But this is inline with a c6 z06.



The MB has 107hp more, and weights 258#'s more. has 263 foot pounds torque more.



Bunch more power, a little more weight. and it isn't any faster. Cost twice that of a z60 + 6 months worth of fuel for the 2 vettes you could by Or modify one vette with a twin turbo setup, just like that MB and have afew years worth of C16 fuel to run though it.



In the race world, the MB is not all that. In the luxary world, sure, the vette is the equivalent to the Ford focus.
