Two cans???
If it was cooling and you added two cans you definitely overcharged it. If you let a little out and can get it to operating, you can tell if the charge is at the right level by feeling the condenser coils in front of the radiator(careful, they are hot), with the proper level of refrigerant 3 or 4 rows of tubes at the bottom should be cooler (not as hot would be better description) than the top tubes indicating the liquid level in the cond. With too much refrigerant, the coils in the cond. are flooded with liquid and they can't condense the refrigerant back to liquid, and the head (discharge pressure) goes way up. Well at least you were trying to do good. The only people who never make a mistake are those who never do anything. bg
