Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) which injectors

Well, I've been thinking about the future. No, not about kids, or job, but the truck. I'd like to get a edge comp (and clutch of course) after the 100k warranty is up, but I don't want to get into changing turbos. That's a whole new level of commitment I don't really want to touch. I'd only use the comp for stoplight wars and cut it off (or at least down) for towing & off road. If I had a bhaf and a 4" straight piped exhaust and 275 injectors would the egts be out of control just using the comp in short bursts from 0-70mph?

Thanks

comp and 275's

4 exhaust and k&n air filter and I tow at 22 to24k gross on #2 setting with week stock clutch with no problems with egt I can reach 1200 deg but it almost stops there and drops like a rock not long hauls and no mountains but up and down hills with stock hx-35 for now

I had to upgrade to an HX35 to use a Comp and DDIII’s. Your turbo should be fine. Temps have been controllable carrying a camper and towing on hills. (less than 1200) I usually set the Comp at 2/1 for normal driving including towing and hauling. With the Comp set to 5/5, temps get hot quick. Good for a long block or so with your foot in it. I’ve been thinking about upgrading the turbo, but it’s not really necessary, just one of those wants right now.
