i got problems guys my truck spits coolant out the overflow, like a gallon at a time when i run it hard. temperature is normal until it loses enough coolant to make the guage bounce and then i usually have to put a gallon or more in the radiator. the crankcase breather bottle is also spitting oil but not a lot. I took the truck to the stealer and they said there is nothing wrong with it and wanted to void my warranty for having an exhaust brake on it. so i keep driving it waiting for it to die :{

Head Gasket

That would be my guess or perhaps a cracked head or block. If not the gasket I would lean more towards the head near an exhaust valve. My 2cents:(

would anyone recommend letting it run out of coolant and destroying it? at this point i am so sick of all of these problems i just want it fixed.

At the very least, I'd try putting in a good name-brand cooling system sealer - I've had very good results with them myself in coolent leakage problems... Destroying the engine really isn't a good option, unless you have reason to believe you would somehow get better warranty service for a blown engine than you seem able to with a potential blown gasket...

I'd bet on the bad head gasket. I'd try a different dealer if all you've done is added an exhaust brake. These were installed by dealers for a time... . If you're so inclined, replacing a head gasket isn't too bad.

As stated before by others, thankfully all dealers are not the same by all means try another dealer or find out who T. D. R. members in your area are using for a dealer and are happy with. Good luck.
