Was driving to a gun shop to pick up a gun I had ordered On the way there I get a ding ding and the cel comes on. When I get to the store I use my edge insight to see what was up. I got two codes

P203F which appears to be a def related code Reductant Level Too Low which is odd since there is just under 1/4 tank of def in it at the moment. I have received this code one or two times in the past shortly after I refilled the tank but has gone away on its own very shortly

P020A which seems to be some sort of injector timing code. malfunction in the injection timing circuit for a particular cylinder of the engine If I was reading correctly it would be cylinder 1

Not sure if one was already stored or if they both came together this morning as cel had not been on previously. Either way truck runs fine def is 1/4 full. starts, runs fine etc I was a decent diagnostician on my 01 but the 2017 have little clue with all its new fangled computer stuff. Mostly concerned about the p020a code. Truck has 128k on it so far and seems to run fine. By the way I did clear the codes and went about my business this morning and it has not returned since, at least yet but only another 20 miles or so of driving so far

If anyone has seen this before, has advice etc am all ears TIA

For the P020A make sure engine is at operating temp, fuel level above 15%, perform 3 zero fuel decels (50-60 mph, foot off throttle for ten seconds) and see if code returns. It the wiring is fine on the injector you more than likely have a bad injector or cross over tube. Repair it sooner than later as engine damage can result.

So last night I had to work a late one and driving home at 1am did as you suggested. I was on the freeway got up to 60ish then let off and coasted for 10-15 seconds did that 3 times in a row. Everything seemed fine no cel, had a fair drive so did it a couple more times still nothing. Once I got off the freeway I did it again however this time I used more brisk acceleration once up to 55 coasted down for the 10 seconds or so repeated two more times and nothing abnormal. Thoughts? Things to watch for? Just wait for code to comeback if it does then take it in to someone?

If it didn't return by forcing the monitor to run I would not be too concerned at this point. If it returns again you should dig a little deeper into the diagnosis. If your bored, pull the valve cover and check the wiring, then re-torque the cross over tubes.

Do you run the latest software revisions on your ECM?
They are updating these trucks all the time to work out such glitches.
