Cow Corn

A guy at work threw an ear in the Microwave at work. Says it tastes good? Another guy saw cow corn tastes pretty good too.



Anyone else eat it?

I've always thought it didn't taste bad but sweet corn is better. Guess you can get malnourished trying to live off it, humans don't digest it well.

Eating cow corn is what the song Jimmy Cracked the Corn is all about. What the slaves were saying is gimme cracked corn and I don't care, the master's gone away.

In other words eating something as vile as cow corn is ok as long as you're a free man.

Isn't it cool, some of the things we learn here? Thanks illflem. When Mrs Doc leaves me home alone, maybe I'll eat some cow corn and enjoy my day of freedom.



Is cow corn the same as chicken corn?

Doc, its the same if you feed it to the chickens also. I feed the cows, chickens, turkeys, and ducks out of the same bag so I guess you can call it whatever you want.



I guess I prefer to call it duck corn myself, you may want to call it Doc corn after the Mrs. leaves.

We always called it dent corn, I'm not sure if that's local slang or what though.

It has an indentation on the top of the kernel

If you pick it fresh at the right time of the year when it is still soft it is delicous fried in a skillet with some butter.
