What is the proper fix for the cracks I found on the inner cowl on my 93? I want to fix the problem before I take it in for a repaint. Thanks.
 
Back in the day there were patch kits but those numbers have long dried up. You could make your own like shown HERE. There are some old threads out there discussing it a bit. You could solder or weld it. I said to heck with mine, they're not making noise yet so they're not really on the radar. I'm going to address them when I go back in there in a few years.
 
I'm almost positive the fenders have to come off, but i suppose it could be different for everybody. On mine if you open the doors and peak through the jam looking right at the cowl you can see it. Mine will have to have the fenders pulled off, and i'm sure yours will too.
 
Were the ones on my 85 are cracked you do , unless you got a genie that can do it for you they have to come off . Mine is also cracked further down , of which im going to have to find some one to fix this issue the metal is super thin of which dont help .
