A couple of good dogs will keep your property free of the Coyotes. There is an abundance of Coyotes in my neck of the woods, but they don't come onto my property due to my dogs. Maybe it's because my dogs are male and they mark the property?

You must have some good dogs. I have seen the pure bred coyotes stay a way from larger dogs. Back home the coyotes got to breeding with wild dogs so you hardly see the real pretty colored coyotes anymore. We could tell them apart by the faces/ears/legs. Those mixed coyotes hold their own, but are still afraid when they see humans.

One of my dogs is a pure black German Shep. that weighs in at 105 lb. He will chase a Coyote if he sees one.

Don't be surprised to see a bunch of black coyotes running around come spring.

I talked to a government hunter about getting rid of coyotes. He said the only REAL way is to use the M44 cyanide bombs. Hunting, trapping, snaring, etc are just for fun. He also said you will probably get some of the neighbors dogs in the process.



In Texas at least, you need a chemical license plus take the M44 elective before you can buy them.

Just bought a Russian Mossian Nagant M44 7. 62x54mm. With 880 rounds of ammo for $149. And its a new gun too. It just sat in a wharehouse for 57 years. I almost have all of the cosmoline off. If they get too close, I always have the bayonet.

It should be able to get rid of my coyotes.



Little word of advise, be vary carefull of coy dogs. (coyote dog mix) My boss was working on the sprayer in the field, and they were comming up behind him, and they didnt want to be petted. he figured it was better to be 8' in the air than to have all of the nozzels unplugged.
