I have an 06 with 100hp injectors, I'm hearing mixed things about the bag of parts. Will it produce enough fuel to keep up with the injectors/ edge juice? Any one running a similar set up? All information is appreciated. Thanks

I'm curious as well. Comments appreciated.

I have DDP 90s and the bag of parts minus the last piece that connects to the fuel line between the rail to the pump, that part is still stock. I dont have a rail psi gauge so not too much help here

Without seeing it on a gauge, does the truck run strong on the upper end, 2200 rpm up, with the smarty turned up? Or does it stumble or fall on it's face?

truck loves to be in the higher rpm. when i am playing in the dirt or towing heavy I leave the OD locked out and am pushing 25-28rpm constantly, I will shift at 3k if it is a straight away. I dont know how much of this is the cam and turbo? If there is any load the truck just seems happier running faster. The pyro is lower and the boost is higher and it never seems to "stumble" just feels better? than running lower rpms in 4th

Ok thanks, with my 100hp injectors it runs great with no extra fuel, with the edge on anything higher than level 3, it drains my rail, it drops 11,000 psi, engine stumbles, and the cp3 can't keep up, my rail pressure doesn't recover till I lift. Installing bag of parts in the next day or so. Is there much difference between 90's and 100's? I'm just hoping the bag of parts will be enough.

Would the Bag of parts be of any benefit with stock injectors?

If you are running a heavy fueling program/box, yes. With stock programming you will notice a difference along with reduced mpg, but that is true with larger injectors also.

I am running an Arson III, which is basically the same as the bag of parts, I definitely experienced a reduction in fuel mileage, even when very light on the throttle. I always would get 18+ mpg on the interstate at 70 mph running empty, after the Arson install I can get real close to 17 mpg, just not quite.

And your arson kit keeps up with your injectors and programming on hard fueling? No huge loss in rail pressure? If it does drop does it recover quickly? No loss of power?

Arson keeps RP at 25k+ WOT with my injectors (Flux 1. 5), That's running TNTR SW8/9, my truck feels stronger on SW6/7 but have not proved it on a dyno, maybe this weekend, there's a Dyno meet Saturday at Spokane Community College's Auto Shop

With my TST (03 twins prgm no Smarty), if I run the TQ setting over 3, I can pull my RP down to 18k at WOT, it eventually recovers but slowly and egt's get out of hand.

Your injectors are larger than what I am running, and I have no knowledge how hard Edge fuels, but I believe less than Smarty or TST. Are you going to install the bag of parts yourself? If so, here is a link to a thread on CF where I described the install procedure in order, 6th post down. Arson III kit - Dodge Cummins Diesel Forum

Ok thanks, I work out of town, so I'm having alligator throw them in tomorrow, I fly back and land in spokane at 1:10 on saterday and running straight there. My friend has almost the same truck, except smarty s o6 and 90 hp tips, his rail pressure is good with stock cp3, mine with the edge And 100's drops imidiatly and no chance of catching up. Would a pressure box help the fuel out after the bag of parts? Cuz I have a dr. performance Stg 2.

I personally know the owner(Chad) and some of the employees(Vinny,Scott) at Alligator, they are a good bunch and if I were inclined to let someone work on my truck, I would trust them.

As far as a pressure box helping with keeping rail pressure adequate, yes it will help, but the risk in my opinion is not worth it, I pulled my EZ over a year ago. If your CP3 is weak. . (how many miles on it?), the pressure box will force it to work harder and shorten it's life, not to mention the affect on injector bodies and tips because of spikes.

Could you remove the Edge, and would your friend let you load his Smarty, to let you see how your CP3 and rail pressure behaved? I am suspicious of your CP3's integrity, but as stated earlier I do not know how hard the Edge fuels down low, causing the rail pressure drop you are describing.

My CP3 had very low miles(25k) when I installed the Arson kit, if it had been closer to 100k I would have opted for a complete new pump. The kit will add additional strain that a weary pump will not appreciate.

Sounds like the bag of parts will be on your truck next time you drive it, let us know what affect it has. Jess

Thanks, they have been extremely helpfull! I wouldn't take it any where else, great people, great service! I have run the smarty pre injectors, I couldn't tell a difference, sw9 to edge lvl6, but will be interesting to see now with the injectors, and the back side of the smarty for adjustment. I will try to run his smarty on one run and my edge on another, and see the difference on the dyno. Will do saterday night.

Todd, someone assembled it incorrectly while modding it? Pretty difficult to install it on the back of the CP3 housing wrong.

Wrong... How are you going to know the correct spec. . Heck . . Do you know how many gear Pumps are over TQ or Keys are mis-align Keys.

I received 3 Pumps last week with these addon parts destroyed directly related to improper TQ Alignment.

Keep putting them on It makes My back account love Ya.

If you remove the pump You are able to feel the correct alignment by spinning the shaft.

Confused, I am!!

Ok now I'm really confused. I just watched the Industrial Injection "Bag of Parts" install on YouTube and it doesn't mention improper "TQ alignment" T&C Diesel is referring to.

Is there a different kit with more parts?

Yep. . The owner of II is Not in favor of the addons. . Again their is good reasons NOT to sell addons, its the standard of Each company. . Please try and find someone who is Un happy with a T&C pump, our service or Products. Look at the 1000s that Know Me By My Name (Todd).

Heck I don't care what other companies do or say thats their Business. I live on the standard I set. If they want to grocery sell at that standard thats up to them, I don't need the Money and I certainly don't want anyone subject to the hassle addons (May) create.

Just got home yesterday and ran the truck at the dyno event in Spokane, cp3 bag of parts worked out great, rail pressure still drops, but only to about 17,000, then recovers almost immediately, and holds about 22,000, at wot on the dyno, on the street driving normal, and playing a little it is between 20 to 26,000. I'm definitely happy with the performance of the bag of parts, 550hp and 1300tq with the ol 37's.

If everything is working correctly with proper settings (OP) you should Maxs 24/26k and drop to 22/23K. Something is bleeding off pressure. I doubt its the injection pump. A drop like that in this business is spiking,Aftermarket gages Autometer,Isspro,Etc are not capable of detecting spiking accurately. A drop like that a would NOT practice.
