CP3 experts: cranking the engine for 15 seconds with the lift pump off harm the CP3?

My truck sits for months, i always let it idle for awhile before trying to rev or move it, i know a 2400h. p. Cat can run idle 45 seconds with no oil press before damge occurs to the point of worry, we run a prelube on these engines but are wanting to take them off because they are more of a hassle than anything, also most of these run almost 24 hrs a day and hold almost 70 gallons of engine oil, i did notice on a cummins once it took a while to get a turbo primed just by cranking, if you unplug the rail press sensor, the truck should not start, just crank

Or pull the fuel pump relay.
