The program on these modified pumps works fine now. We have been testing on the test stand and have had them on trucks for on engine testing. My truck 04. 5 has a stage2 on it and shows good power fully atributed to the CP3 mods. There is a definate need to cap the rail and use a Fass with at least 150gph rating set up to 40-50psi. I believe DPP is releasing a 200gph already set to 50psi. That would be a better selection if you have not already purchased a Fass. We have some already on the way from DPP. After seeing the results we installed our stage3 injectors and we already use a TST/CR fueling box. We could run level 8 and almost level 9. This hp should be very impressive and we will dyno at MM next week. (Ultimate test) We see the stanpipe in the tank and 1/2" hose as a plus if you are going to maximze the hp gain. Thanks, Brady

CP3 Mod

Brett,

Is this the stand-alone unit which replaces the oem CP3? Isn't it a huge unit? Where did you mount it,... . cost,..... pics. Do you have b-4 and after dyno that shows the direct result of this mod without any other upgrades.

What I mean about capping the rail is plugging the by pass valve. As far as our BIG CP3 pump that we are doing here, that product is very good and makes BIG hp. The CP3 Stage1 and Stage2 pumps are modified pumps and that is what I was referring to. Thanks

So the STG 1 and STG 2 is the Floor-it Diesel CP3 and you (Industrial Injection) are a distribution channel for that product. Right? And is your BIG CP3 unit now ready? Tks.

What do you make of Relentless diesels CP3 testing? they said all the internal mods did nothing and in some respects lost power. Only real gains they have seen where with spinning the pump faster.

so in other words to make high power you need to buy the rail cap kit!! Oo. i was not jokeing when i told you guys this for the last 4 months :-laf you guys will see first hand what kind of power the common rail cummins is really capable of  :--)

The internal mods we are doing have shown big increase in flow and Industrial Injection "Brady" their bosch pump stand has shown that to be true with real flow numbers.

Looks like I'm headed in the right diretion...

Brady, my donor CP3 should be handed to you in person on Sat or Sun. via Matt.

John, it'll show up at your place shortly after Mon/Tues for stage 2. Paper work is in the box.

Getting to be like a kid in a candy store. :D

Yes we have been testing Johns CP3 pumps and we have seen some nice increases. The Stage3 that we have is also available and is VERY large as you may of heard. Brett has our big CP3 on his truck and I have a Stage2 CP3 on my truck. It looked so good when I was testing it that I had to grab some Stage 3 Injectors off our shelf and put them in. To make these CP3 pumps fly you need to cap the rail and run at least a 150gph Fass at 40-50psi. Brad at DPP is comming out with a 200gph and already set to 50psi. Ours are on order and I think they are shipped. John we need to make more rail caps! We are also working on a Dual feed for the rail which we have. Now that rocks! Thanks, Brady

With respect to Relentless Diesels product, we have only heard how it works. We considered doing a mod. like that. It does work I'm sure. The engineering principles that they use are sound. Our BIG CP3 pump also is a front cover change type mod. But the BIG CP3 pump puts out 230% of the stock pump and then you can mod it if you are crazy enough to need that much. Happy Racing, Brady

Well I Have A Stock 04. 5 325/600 And I M Putting On A Fass Pump And A Tst Box , Do I Need To Cap Off The Rail Like You Guys Are Talking About ? If So How Is It Done And What Are The Cons On Doing This ,

Looks like I will be getting that regulator on my truck as planned (to get the 40psi from my HPFP... )

I look forward to your results!

(any guessing???) :D

Tomygun you'r not running 40 psi to your cp3? I thought you got the fass installed regulated to 40 psi.

I installed a in line bypass regulator thats easy to adjust.

Quick question. Would you guys like to be able to run at 20 psi for daily driving and be able to increase pressure to 40 or 50 at the flick of a switch or is this not a concern for most?
