I found this on a website and was wondering if anybody knows anything about it, if these upgraded parts are worth the while, what exactly has been done to each part, and how differance it would make. I cant afford or justify a whole moded CP3 yet and honestly dont plan on going that far with my truck... ... . but I would like a little more. Any thoughts?

Some have good luck with the mods, others have surging problems. Happens with a full modded pump occasionally also. If the price is right and you keep your old ones it will allow you to run more power without lots of bucks.



You will also need a better fuel delivery LP to be able to see the results. If their QC on the modifications is good the results should be also. Wicked Diesels and Industrial Injection offer about the same type of package and may well be II's product sold be other dealers.
 
Industrial Injection sells the kit to other dealers. It is the same part # as on their site. They may be low on stock on this item. If your rail pressure is down this will bring it up a bit.

I wonder what the hp limit would be if you did that kit with a dual feed line and maybe a modded fuel rail. I already did flux 2. 5 sticks and soona a new trans and turbo.

My friend has close to the same mods as you, and we had to mod his cp3 to get the rail pressure needed to run safely. Have you checked yours?
 
Modifications to the Fuel Control Actuator can cause severe surging. I have seen kits where the modifier used a drill bit on the attached lift pump orifices, and even hit the housing behind the hole that was drilled. I wonder how many chips remained inside the assembly? With the Bosch clearances in the millionths of an inch, one chip could be far too many! The best modifiers use electrode discharge machining (edm) and disassemble the pump. The really effective modified pump will have things such as bigger plungers and barrels, not just simple changes to make. I have a Floor-It Diesel (785-842-8545, Home) Stage 3 CP-3 pump and it performs flawlessly, just like a stocker.
 
i have the bag of parts.......

i run a stack... ... ... II told me to get some nozzles (50 or 60hp) before installing bag of parts, unless i wanted to eliminate the module or downloader. they did not recommend running it with a stack. so, i will wait till i get some injector nozzles. let us know if you proceed to buy and install. i would be curious to hear about your results.

I just got the flux sticks so I haven't been able to realy test it fully, plus the transmission is just saying "i give up" when I have the jr on anythingover the 40 hp setting so I put the stock setting back in witch also helped some what with smoke. I'm going to sell my Jr and get a SR so I can fine tune a little better. The mp-8 may never go back on, I haven't decided yet.
 
yo, JD, SS, and MA2?

is this something (surging) that happens when truck is just cruising or when you 'get after it'? like i said, i have the bag of parts, but i am a little worried about installing them..... any recommendations? cerberusiam has given me some things to think about as well, but of course the more info the better... any ideas?

S. S. - did your friend use this type of kit to improve rail pressure? how does he like it? work well?

MA2 - II had said it could run enough fuel to feed up to about 600hp? wow?

anyone know anything different, hook me with info.
