An upgrade CP3 can recover from rapid fueling changes faster, but if you have enough CP3 to obtain the commanded rail pressure I don't think youll see much of an increase.

In most cases the 2 shaft seals will leak long before the internals fail,Their is a weep hole for these seals, but if not taken care of fuel will leak into the oil $$$$. The other concern is feed pressure ,over come the CV valve with excessive pressure will cause accelerate wear. Its one helva pump.

On a stock or close to stock truck the only thing that might be worthwhile is a bag of parts.

I have considered it, but since i don't have a rail psi gauge anymore I am not sure I could ever see the difference. But when I had the gauge I would notice the rail psi drop when I hit hills and would take a few seconds to recover, a bag of parts would increase the recovery rate, and could lead to better mpgs, or more power at the throttle change.

Big gamble for $400, plus a gauge to see if it works.

I just bought a stock 06 f650 with cummins. I love the difference between stock cp3 and dual cp3 on my other truck so when funds are available I will be buying a modded pump. I feel its worth it. try it if your not happy ill give you my address so you can hunt me down lol
