My truck has a CPL number 2308 which doesn't match up to any posted CPL's that I could locate. That wouldn't bother me except I am trying to find out which injection pump is installed on my truck. I have been told that I do have the more aggressive pump in my truck by some and others have told me that I don't. Anyone have the build data for this cpl number or any first hand knowledge of which pump is installed? In order to properly time the engine I need to know which pump is installed. Thanks.
Steve

Dieselburner, I've got the same CPL number as you, but was told I could only go as big as the #5 plate. I see that you run the #4 plate. What's the difference.

Thanks

Brian,
I traded my #5 back to TST for the #4 plate. The #4 plate has a lot more low end torque. The power seems about the same on the top end. As far as the CPL number and the pump goes, I guess I will need to take Piers' advice and pull the linkage on the side of the injector pump to see what's there as far as a part number. It looks like nobody has a clue as to what is installed on this CPL code.
