Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) cpu reflashing

I took my truck to the dealer today to have the oil pressure sending unit replaced. They said they reflashed the cpu. On the way home my oil pressure gauge seemed to be fine. What is cpu reflashing?

It means that they put in a different sensor that is basically a dummy light sensor. It no longer reads pressure like a guage but will sense if it has no pressure and drop. Mine went out 2 weeks ago and I searched here and found a new sensor you have to get through Cummins, part number 4088390. Dodge never figured it out, you have to go straight to Cummins.
