Hi gang,

I need your feedback!

With the first software release I wanted to stay in the " middle ". Nothing too wild nor too mild performance wise. I think that's exactly where Smarty's performance is right now.

Yet we're not all the same, what's fun for one guy is too much for the next or not enough for the third.

I've extensively surfed the web and read whatever thread about the SmartyCR I could find. It appears to me that several of our customers ask for a less aggressive throttle response and less off idle Smoke.

For those, we need a " mild " software version.

I've done a lot of R&D for such kind of software in the past couple weeks and feel that I'm ready for it now. Yet, before I release a new software ( update ) for Smarty I'd like to hear YOUR feedback first. I want Smarty to become as close as possible to YOUR needs. Maybe even a few guys beta testing the new software(s) before I release them?

Shoot 'em out, I'm all ears! :D

Thanks!

Marco

I luv the touchy go pedal and can control the smoke without a problem. I have been running on setting 9 since the HTS TRANSMISSION and luv it.

I don't mind the touchy pedal or the smoke for that matter for me driving, but when on cruise control it gets a little annoying. Would there be a way to get the touchiness of the pedal down a little more into the pedal to where it will remove it from the cruise control's normal range?

I agree with lcaad, the touchy pedal when in cruise control is annoying, but other than that, the Smarty blows the TS box out of the water!

Personally, I'm with LI, I love the strong bottom end too and can drive it without smoke. Also my stock transmission has no problem with the low end grunt.

Like I said, we're not all the same...

Keep 'em comming!

Thanks,

Marco

P. S. CC surge with the vaccum operated unit or the electronic one?

Marco, I posted this on another thread, don't know if you saw it?

I would like to see the lower settings, 1-3, tamed a little bit. I love the power, but for daily driving they are a little rough. I would like to see them tweaked a little to be more conducive to daily driving, stop and go traffic, towing and cruise control use. Maybe bring back a little more torque management to ease wear and tear on the transmission. As for the higher settings, leave them crazy for the high mod high horse/torque fans. My personal favorite is setting 1. My truck runs much smother, the way it should have been from the factory. With the above changes, especially throttle sensitivity; settings 1-3 would be perfect for the stock or near stock trucks.

Love the Smarty,

Sid

The existing programs are great. I especially like 90hp w/ timing. Thanks for such a great product.

I use my truck mostly for towing, but once I finish installing my billet transmission today, I want to play around with the higher settings.

Thanks for you support guys, I really aprreciate!!!

Yet, Sid has a VERY good point here! SW's 1-3 "tamed"...

I was thinking about a version with all softwares cut back on throttle response.

Hmmmm...

Please keep 'em comin!

Thanks!

Marco

Some software mods on the 4. 5 and up trucks with the "tvva" (no TV cable to adjust) would be a good idea since some trannies have hunting problems as stated in previous treads by some users. Also I live where it rains a lot, I LOVE the 90 hp w/timing but the trottle is a little hairy in the rain.

I would like to see changes in the:

Throttle responce to come in a little later

transmission adjustments for 4. 5 and up trucks with the TVVA

I like everything else in the programmer as of now.

smarty software changes

Marco I would like to see something I can use with a stock transmission and increased fuel miles. I would buy one now. Ski :)

I'm not totally sure but I think the 03-04 trucks have the vaccum CC and the 04. 5 and up the electronic one.

My '03 6 spd is electronic, but an '04 auto that I have seen was vacuum operated.

how about turning off the third event in the fueling of the 05s

thanks

do a search; the post in where the release of the smarty was announced, it was claimed that disabling the 3rd event caused a large loss in power(100 hp I believe but dont quote me)
