No offense, Cliffman, but after doing one, I can't believe you did it without removing turbos, etc.



I think maybe its not quite as forgiving as you thought it was.



I understand the crack can continue, but no way it should have leaked at the stitching.



Maybe your block was abnormally weak/thin??



I hate 53 blocks.



Sled Puller, no offence taken... Actually it was easier to repair the first 3" crack from underneath rather from top side as it was in the perfect place to access using the right drill. But after the second crack towards the front of the engine I had no choice but remove the turbo’s and do it from top side.
