2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Cracked Dash

I was wondering if anyone else is having problems with their dashes cracking. I have a 2001 purchased new in June of 01. I noticed the other day that the dash is cracked in two places on both sides of the dash. I live in Austin, Texas and so the heat can be brutal, but other trucks that are older than mine and in the same environment are not having this problem. I also purchased the 100,000 mile extended warranty and was wondering if it covered.

My dash also cracked. It cracked to the left of the recessed area above the glove box, about 4 in. long. I think I can fix it if I can get under it. As long as both sides of the crack are on the same line you can't see it, I'm thinking I can put a piece of plastic under it and glue it in place. I'm not sure if it's a warrany issue or not, give it a shot and see what happens.

I have replaced a few of these. I love my dash topper(prevention). To find out if it is covered the dealer will have to run the part#. There are many levels of service contracts,some good some

Mine cracked in 2 separate places last summer. After seening how thin that material is I got even more ticked off; I hope the 3rd Gens are not made with the same crappy thin plastic. Anyhow, I superglued the cracks and through a cover from Geno's on it.
