Anyone else have the fender crack in front of the rear wheel. It cracked where the hole is for the snap in things that hold the fender liners in place. I can't believe this!!!! I took it to an independent body shop to get an opinion before I went to Dodge and he doesn't think Dodge will cover it. What do you guys think? It only has 32K on it and never abused at all. The body man said they would have to weld it and repaint the entire quarter panel. This can't be cheap!!!!

Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Taking it to the dealer collision center tomorrow. I'll keep you posted on what they say.

Thanks

:( I'd say you have a legit warranty issue here. Before you get too  and work yourself up into an :-{} with DC, just go in with a big :D and see what they can do, or are willing to do. ;) Then if they don't respond with the right answer that you think they should, you can go:eek: :--) . Good luck :(

Good news guys. Went to my local Dodge collision center and they are going to fix it under warranty. The service advisor said he had never seen this before until this week. I was the second 2500 this week!!:--)

Just a warning to everyone out there with a pre-2002 with the fender liners. If the push in clip things that hold the fender liners in break or fall out, get them replaced. You can see where mine were wearing out and moved inside the holes making them bigger. They are going to use big metal rivets when they put it back together.

The plus side is I am getting the left rear quarter panel repainted. :D Hopefully it is better than the "top of the line" factory paint.
