Competition cracked my ATS manifold

What about Joe's manifolds ? how do they hold up

BTW the manifold on my dodge was JetHot coated after I finished up the porting, still though, it makes it easier to wash off the soot that leaks out.

This is quite interesting. Mine has not cracked and (knock on wood!) I hope it doesn't, but now that some are posting reports of cracking guess I will be checking it more often now.

Are all of them divided in the center? since that is where mine cracked ,would it help to cut that out and just have a wide open center?

I don't think you would want to cut out the center as this would affect your flow. The goal of the exhaust manifold to route the burnt gas and fumes away from the cylinders. By removing the center, you would be allowing the one end to push gas and fumes into the other end and create back pressure.



Removing the center would affect your flow and I suspect you would lose more than you would or could gain.

Yeah Rod dont cut i did on my ATS cause it had a crack , it killed spool up , i did tho weld the cracks back on top usen nickle rod , Dennis perry has a collection of ATS manifolds with a crack in the spot in the divider going up out the top , u use the bigfoot wright ??

Yes I do have a bigfoot , thanks for the info because I would have probably tried to cut it otherwise.

Yes it is. that's why I asked back on an earlier post if anybody has tried one on a sledpuller just trying to determine how well it would hold up Joe say's it's ported way bigger then the ATS and that there is center divider. I like it was just looking some feed back from foks who my be using one.
