I thought you all might be interested. I had posted in truck 911 about a very loud noise at idle.
I got lots of great help as always. The problem was traced to a cracked spring plate.
The mechanic said that he thought it has been cracked for a while. Might have had something to do with a Smarty, a shift kit and lowering the stall. LOL
My son in law told my daughter that her father does too many burn outs.

Anyway. It's back working and I thought you might enjoy some pic.

The ATS part is what I replaced the cracked one with. It's a work of atr.

With all the bolts in place, I doubt it was separated like that. I was under the truck with the inspection plate off at idle and the torque converter was dancing around.
 
Started twisting the flex plate when the mounting holes started hogging out, crumples like a piece of paper once there is movement. Got a picture of the face of the TC?
 
Sorry, I don't have a pic of the face of the TC.

I imagine the sooner rather than later things would have gotten ugly.

Being hearing impaired I was late in the game noticing it.
