cracked window

First post. I have a 06 mega cab. And on saturday i seen my back

passengers side window was cracked in the top back corner, took it to the dealer and they said it will be covered. And that he had seen some with that problem i was wondering if any one has had this problem.

had a front and a rear window replaced.

THis is interesting! My buddy just took delivery of his '06 Mega and the drivers side window cracked. I thought the dealer told him something to the effect that it is glass between two pieces of unbreakable plastic. Something about occupant containment in the event of an accident. I thought that was what seat belts were for... . Anyhow, I have no idea if that is true or not or if I even understood him right. The only fact of the matter is his drivers side window cracked.

I have the same problem with the passenger rear window on my Mega Cab.

The newer glass is laminated glass instead of the old tempered. Its a great Idea since when glass gets broken now you dont have small shards all over the place and down inside to door panel, the down side to this is that the two pieces of glass that are lamiated are a lot thinner than the one piece of tempered so it is more fragile on the edges...

The drivers window broke and the dealer replaced it under warrenty.



He did not retint my window told me I was on my own for that.
