I tried the search twice and no luck , so I ask , Where is the crankcase breaker on a stock 12 valve on a 1994 2500 pick up ,

Thanks , Parker

It comes off the rear of the tappet cover, behind the fuel filter, and down the side of the block behind the starter.

Sort of. It’s like a steel scouring pad, kind of coarse, not steel wool. I had my tappet cover off twice, once at @300K and again @500K miles. It was not stopped up at all.

Thanks very much you guys .. I may have found the source to a few leaks . I suspect after many miles of use that the breather may be plugged .. did the front crankshaft seal a couple years ago and installed a sitered bronze breather into the filler cap . Also did The vaccume pump last year which stated leaking after an extended run down to Vancouver and back ...the same season . I repaired it in the spring , worked the truck all spring and summer, then went to the coast with a light load , Came back home empty and had a good amount of oil coming from the same area as the vaccume /power steering pump.

The Trucks got 450,000 KM, and ,i suppose if i was to go into the crankcase breather , i would be replace the tappet gaskets ?
