Crankcase filter

When I removed the filter from the box,it had a quarter inch chip on the drivers side of the filter.Its where the lip meets the o ringed head,so there is no seal in that spot.Would this cause any problems.

Then de-install it and return it before it's all mucked up.

Please remove the filter and get a new one return filler to where you bought filter.

You'll get oil to leak out from that spot and obviously won't seal correctly would could also let dirt and debris in.

Best to take back and get another
