i have a 99 24 valve & need to change the vp44 again. This time I will attempt to do it myself. Do I need to change the cps, or the cks or both? I guess the first question should be do I have both?

Next question--do I need any special tools?

Thanks TDR for the help.

You do not need any special tools to chang either of those sensors. The crank possition sensor is located in the side of the block behind the starter. and your cam possition sensor is slighly up and behind the vacumm pump. Some time around the 2000 model they did away with the crank possition sensor. they both run nearly $40 apiece at hoelsidiesel.com

thanks for the info. I am changing the vp44 this weekend & read somewere that it was a good idea to change the cps.

off the subject--I see you have marcos ecm. How do you like it?

What is the oil vent kit?

Thanks, Herman
