Attention: TDR Forum Junkies 
I got a check engine light today on my way home from work. Went to AutoZone for a free OBD II Scan and discovered my CPS was going Gunny-Sack!
Called Cummins NW & they didn't have the part. Pulling the 5vr tomorrow & was at the mercy of the ********! Yes I said ********! The Genuine Cummins part lists for $37 & some change. 1st dealer (sp) $111. 34, second dealer was out of the part, 3rd dealer (sp) $80 incl. tax... ...
They had me over a barrel literally unless I wanted to drive to Spokane or Aberdeen so I paid over twice what the part sells for from Cummins but the truck is back on the road without the erratic speedo as mentioned in other posts.
The check engine light is out aswell... I guess I shouldn't be so hard on the dealer (sp) since theyr'e in business to make a buck, but come on... ... . 2x-3x what the OEM part sells for from Cummins at the retail price. Give me a break!
I guess they did have the part though, I'll give them that. I found a link from a TDR post to instructions on how to do the R&R... . Get instructions! TDR saved me again!
