I would like to share with you a picture of my 99 Ram after a 4 impact accident. The accident was caused by a vehicle going out of control, hitting the right hand guardrail, bounching off that back into traffic where it hit me, I hit a vehicle on the left of me, then smacked sideways into the left hand guard rail and finally smacked into the original that hit the left guardrail at 90 degrees. The source vehicle then burst into flames. It took some doing to back my truck up so that they could remove the injured driver.

Thankful I was in the truck. No grave injuries to my wife or I but the driver of the vehicle that went out of control was taken to the hospital. No word on her condition other than guarded.

Thank God you are all ok! Sorry about the truck. I sure wish my wife had been driving my truck when she had her accident. I know she would still be here with me.

Glad everyones ok. Sorry about the truck as well. Where did that happen? Looks like a Toronto City fire truck... . ? I live in Newmarket

Accident happened just north of Hyw 7 on the 400 north bound lanes on Jan 27. The local news carried some footage on it.

Heard from the repair shop today, sounds like a write off. The engine was running after the accident and it started several times in the course of moving the truck back from the car on fire. The bummer in this is that I cannot replace the truck. Been out of work for some time now and just getting by. Thinking of buying it back and taking a crack at fixing it. Just hope that the frame is not bent. I can live with the box damage but not the front metal. A bigger issue is that most of the replacement parts are in the US and I would get hit big time by shipping and customs/read government fees. Will post the final outcome. Have spend the last few years structuring life around the truck so this will be a big impact. My classic car is a few hundred miles away and there will be no cheap way to get it back home or to the tracks during the summer. I did hear that the driver of the car that was on fire has survived and the other driver walked away from the crash. It could be that all three vehicles will be totaled, mine is the only not there yet. Ice has been blamed on the accident.

Thanks for all of the good wishes.

I would post all 30 pics if the space was available.

Thats too bad. . hopefully the truck is still salvageable. If not, when you're ready to get the car, get a hold of me. I love the drag strip.

Best of luck. Keep us posted.

Corey

Sorry for your loss(truck),glad you/Mrs are OK---now i know what my truck could look like all smashed up----i have the same color sitting in the garage. Hopefully better luck to come---David.

I heard from the police today. The driver of the Eagle sustained some broken bones and other non life threating injuries and was the only injured person. Given the number of vehicles, the traffic flow, six lanes, one of Ontario's busiest North/South arteries and the damages, God was looking after all of us. We all "walk away".

My truck looks just like yours (except mines white) same thing happened to me last Monday :{ :{ :{

Glad you are OK, I was sore as hell for a few days.

Adam

Heard from the insurance folks this evening. Estimated value of the truck is $21,665 and the uncompleted repair estimate stopped at $21,399 ( Canadian dollars, just a little smaller than Uncle Sam's paper). They are writing it off and branding it as salvage. Looks like no ride for quite a while and no way to get to any work. Bummer.

Thanks for all of the good wishes. Every day is something new. I will be sitting on the side for a while just reading about your experiences.

Adam. Happy to hear that everyone is OK and sad to hear about your truck. An awesome looking truck. I hope that it is repairable if that is what you want.

Best regards.

Glad you are OK.

What will the Ins co ask for the wrecked vehicle?

Since the engine ran and the frame prob is ok,, it might be a good buy.
