Since it's been colder here, my truck makes a creaking noise when I go over a bump and the front end goes up and down, I can really hear it at low speed on dirt roads. It sounds like a 15 year old clunker, or me getting out of bed in the morning. Is there something I can lube in the front end to stop this ? I was going to go up under it and have someone push down on the front bumper. to see if I could locate the noise.

Another question- where/how can I attach some tow hooks to the front end, I got stuck as can be in Maryland on an icy driveway, had a heck of a time figuring out where to tie the tow rope. Thanks, happy new year to all.

Not sure about the year of your truck, but picking up some factory tow hooks would be my sugestion. They are a great insurance policy against tying up to something you shouldn't be.

The creaking sounds like some bushings? Could be body mounts, shocks, etc...

Check the track bar mounts, this is fairly common in Chrysler vehicles with this suspension design. Also, if you fill out your signature other posters will know what you're working on and what mods you've done ;)

Sorry about the lack of info, it's an '03, quad cab, 2x4, 135,000 miles, only notable mods are the Airdog pump and a Reunel rear bumper. The weather's warmed up to where I can crawl under it and look and listen around a bit. Thanks for the help. I guess truck knows I just made the last payment, all sorts of little crap is happening.
