How did you rig your clutches from the old style linkage to the new style hydraulic? The doggone wiring bulkhead connector is in the way. I have an idea of cutting out the firewall area i need from a 93 donor truck, then riveting it in place and then cutting out the holes i need through the original firewall. ( did that make sense?????). Looking for other ideas here, how'de ya do it?

I relocated my wiring block to the 91 location which required a little work with my MIG welder. that allowed me to install the clutch master cyc. in the correct spot. The clutch/brake petal shaft works from the 1985 auto on the 91 stick shift :). While I was in there I replaced all the petal bushings with new ones. you will need the mounting frame for the clutch master cyc. It bolts on under the dash to the Brake/clutch/steering colum frame. I went to a hardware store and bought a 90 degree drill adapter to drill the holes.

Hope this helps, its not as bad as it sounds, measure twice, cut one :p Any more questions just let me know.

I did it the same way. I moved the bulkhead connector to the left about 3/4" and butt welded a piece on the right side. You can't tell It was even messed with. I got the pedals and stuff from the 91 donor truck. The big problem is the fact that part of the clutch pedal hits the starter switch located on the column. It was a GM idea. Thats why I changed all of my wiring and steering column. I used all of the 91 wiring. Mine turned out slick. Lots of work though.

Thanks guys

I have all the pieces I need, just wondered how... ... lol. Thanks for the advice guys. All i lacked was a steering column, which I will pick up tomorrow in Flagstaff, AZ for $150. Be cruisin soon, I hope.....

Question on the clutch slave cylinder.

Hey guys, what slave cylinder did you use for the clutch? I have the complete assembly from an early 98, but it mounts different on the firewall..... I have the bracket and pieces of the master clutch cylinder from a 93, but am lacking the tube from the master to slave, and the clutch cylinder. I guess my question is, will the stock clutch master cylinder from a 93 with gertrag work on my 98 nv4500? If not, what will?
