Has anyone out there converted their 1st gen 4x4 to cross over steering..... I just put a 6" lift kit on mine. . and the steering geometry went to hell... needs cross over... . I Know how to do it and I have done that type of thing before... but I am just probing the field for someone with experiece on this exact project... . Any Info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks:) :) :)

I have never done crossover before, but I would like to try it on my Jeep, and possibly my Dodge in the future. Everyone I know that has went to a crossover setup with a lift has been VERY happy with the result. Couple of questions... What brand of lift did you use, did you install it, and if you did were there any problems not addressed by the "lift kit"? (besides the steering geomety)

Thanks!

I installed a 6" lift on a 91 W-250 last year. I had to install a 4" drop pitman arm and a 2" raised steering block along with an adjustable drag link in order to have the steering wheel centered and hit both of the steering stops on the axle. In fact, when I sold the truck last spring, the buyer wanted it back to stock height, so I still have the complete kit sitting in a crate and ready to sell.
