Was cruising on the interstate Saturday with the cruise on and set at 70. All of a sudden the truck starts to slow rapidly like somebody turned off the key. Checked all the gages-looked OK. Stepped on the gas peddle and the rpm and speed came back up. Only problem was the cruise control would not turn back on. Figured a fuse had blown, no big deal.

Arrived at my destination and parked. A few hours later got back on the road and the cruise was just fine. Go figure - Anybody else have this or similar happen to them?

This happened to me a few years ago with my '94. Happened with increasing frequency over the next several months, then it would take more than one try to get the cruise to engage after it popped out. I replaced the brake lamp switch and the problem was cured. A heads up for what might come next! regards, steve whalen

I had this happen a few years ago and finally it kept burping and coming out of CC. Ended up having the Lift pump replaced not a week after it got so bad I couldn't keep CC steady. Don't know what the correlation was with the two, but once the lift pump was fixed, all was good again. Now I have gauges!!!
