2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Cruise control acting up

On my 98. 5 24v, my cruise has failed to work about every 3rd startup the past 2 weeks. I do run a fair amount of mud on the trapline. can anyone give me advice on where to start looking? thanks

Pull teh drivers side battery and tray. The cruise solenoid/vac actuator is under there. Check the vac lines and wires for battery acid corrosion/dry rot.



I had a similar problem with my 01 2500 v-10. it turned out to be a bad actuator. it was teh same part number as teh diesel part #, and ran about $60 at the dealer
