cruise control activated high idle?
does anyone know if this available for the 08 6. 7?
and if so what are the advantages to it?

Yes it is on the automatics, I don't think it is on the manuals. The advantages would be faster warm up in the winter, I use it to get the A/C going before I get in it in the summer. It can also be used if you have an after market hydraulic pump for a wrecker bed, to run a engine mounted generator, air compressor, and whatever else you might hang on the engine.

The cruise control activated fast idle option is available for 2004 and newer 5. 9L engines as well, but requires Dodge TSB 18-0004-04 (see TSB 18-004-04). I'm not sure if/when this became a standard feature. I had this done for my wife's '04 2500 and it's a really nice feature to have. I asked Cummins if this was compatible with the '03 engines and they said that it wasn't. So I'm SOL on that!

I did mine with Bully Dog, it works great,for4 all the mentioned above!!!!Oo.
