Cruise Control Cable Clip

Hey all,

I lost the metal clip which holds the adjustment slide for the cruise control cable. Does anybody know if I can get this at my local auto part store or should I go directly to the dealer?? I guess it could be the help section, I'm just curious if anybody has gotten one of these clips? Any and all information will be greatly appreciated.

I use a local industrial hardware for stuff like that. Not many dealers keep much of that type hardware in stock anymore... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... I miss the good old days

That is something that I would grab at a salvage, I would think just about any Dodge CC servo would have that clip.

I checked a couple years ago, and the clip only comes from Dodge in the kit with the entire servo unit, I dont even remember the price.



I bent a piece of heavy wire (12ga electirc fence wire, IIRC) to fit in the slot. It hald for a year or so, then I redid it, and last I knew, it was still doing fine.

I went to a local junk yard and found only two clips from various Dodge cars/trucks/mini-vans.



I have a spare if anybody needs it!



You know what’s funny is a lot of people lost that same clip and looking at how they rigged up the cable is funny, some used duct tape, other used wire and some used cable ties. . :-laf

The hairpin clip is a standard carb linkage clip from the old days :-laf
