Cruise control functions. However, check engine light turns on within a few miles driving. System continues to display code 34. I replaced brake light switch and speed sender in trans tail piece. Any ideas?
Thank you for help, Patrick

Do you have access to a service manual? Steps for electrical tests at servo and engine controller are outlined in section 8H...but I can't get photos right now.

I looked up that Code 34 deal and it still looks speed sensor related.

Unfortunately it has a bunch of DRB steps in the procedure.

I'm pretty sure it pointed to this SP-3A procedure.

Maybe read thru it and see if any of it makes sense. I'm not super familiar with 1st Gens, just pulled the info based on the description.

Or someone else has some other suggestions.

Would be careful with a DVMM and jumpers as described. If not used correctly that could cause issues.

THANK YOU folks for your resource & guidance. I do have a FSM manual. I will dig into the pages this weekend.
