Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Cruise Control Problem?

Posting for my Girlfriends' Mom... she has a 2001 3500 S. O. auto... lately cruise control has been shutting off for no reason, it starts back up fine, but she'll be driving along, towing and not towing, and it'll shut off for no reason. any help is appreciated, I asked if she was going up a big hill and dropped MPH because I know that'll cause it to shut off, she said no, holding constant speed it happens... thanks in advance... Check the brake light switch for adjustment. It doesn't take much pedal movement for the cruise to be disengaged.

If you have a friendly dealer, there are some, I work for one. Ask them to look at "cruise control last cutout" on the DRB after Mom sets the cruise and has it shut off on her, don't let her shut the truck off until the DRB is hooked up.
