My 01 seems to have developed a minor attitude about the cc. I know I have an APPS on the way out but not sure if that would affect the cc. The problem is that if I try to set the cc above 85mph, it will not hold. The truck will slow to 85 then the cc takes over and maintains it. I have tried setting the cruise at 90 and it drops to 85, I have also tried setting it lower than 85 then accelerate using the cc buttons and that does not work either. Any one else ever notice this? Is it normal for the cc not to work above 85? Any input would be appreciated.

I see you have a Smarty. Give Marco a call... . bet he could fixed that little glitch right now.

The CC in my wifes Jetta works fine at high speeds. I set it (I mean I heard someone that did this!) at 110mph on the interstate and the thing handled like a Porsch. I chickened out after 5 minute but the car would have gone this speed all day. Didn't sound like a strain on the engine and had a ways to go before redline. Love that little car.

I wasn't really looking to "fix" this problem, I just wanted to know if it was possibly a symptom of another problem. I dont think I need to cruise above 85 very often. . :-laf :-laf . If I have to, I guess I can hold the go pedal...
