Cruise Control Switch

Searched the database for a similar post, didn't find what I'm looking for. 07.5 Laramie, Auto. My Cruise switch on the steering wheel seems intermittent. Used it earlier in the day everything is fine. Changed the oil/filters, went to wash the truck, on the way the switch would not indicate "Cruise" in the instrument pod with repeated presses! A few minutes later after stop/start the engine and going down the road it engages and turns off as designed. Am I looking at a switch or a connector somewhere in the harness (groan). Any input would be appreciated.

I am experiencing the same problem with my '06 5.9 3500 dually as well. Cruise works initially, but, when disengaged as a result of brakes being applied or manually disengaged, it will not re-engage when pressing "Resume" or "Set". The problem is intermittent and will return to operational if turned off for a while.

I'd be looking at the brake lite switch.
