My cruise control does not work anymore after an impact with a tree a couple months ago. The truck is fixed back up and runs/handles great but I went to put it in cruise while on the interstate and it doesnt work. Any ideas of where to start on this. I have seen this before on the forum, but couldnt find anything doing a search. Thanks for any info.

Hey Rick, the servo unit is located under the driver side battery. Check the vacuum line going to it, may be disconnected. Does the dash "cruise" light come on? Mine failed back in 02 and I replaced the servo unit (about $80 from the dealer in 02) its worked fine ever since.

I will check that this evening. Yes, the cruise light will come on. That would be cool if it is as simple as that. Thanks.

If it is the servo try on line for a new versus the dealer - probably pretty expensive now?

Hardest part is removing the battery & tray to get to the servo.
