My cruise control stopped working. It was fine pulling my trailer here, then we parked for 2 weeks still hooked up, moved and unhooked. A week later when I finally drove the truck it wouldn't engage,

Iv'e checked and it has vacuum-the HVAC controls work- and the

servo cable is still connected. The left switch turns it on, "cruise" lights up below the mileage reading.

Any suggestions on what to check next?

If not, does anyone know of a good shop in Northern Idaho-Sandpoint, C'DA or Spokane? AS a last resort which is the best Dodge dealer?

Make sure the stoplight switch works correctly after that you will pretty much need a scanner to see what is going on

It's fixed. It wasn't the brake light switch. Changed and no joy. ALso no codes. Turns out it was the vacuum hose that broke at the servo. It broke off at the rubber elbow, being plastic. Removed the elbow, cleaned out the broken piece, cut an inch off the old tube , taped and reconnected. Works fine.
Now if I can just get Dodge to find me a replacement assembly.
