Taking a CAT for a drive...

Wooo HOOO!!! Put a diesel in THIS!!!

I was merging into a traffic lane doing about 30 when a Yellow corvette floored it trying to close the gap and cut me off. There was so much open space for me to move into, that the vett had to really get on it in order to get in front of me. I ignored the vet and came right over. The Vett owner slammed on his brakes, and only made it up to my back wheel before he ran out of road. What a total idiot! Like i am going to be intimidated by a fiberglass car that can fit under my reciever hitch.

The tourist around my area like to play a game called beat the truck. Nothing like the feeling of flatspotting 4 thousand dollars worth of tires just because someone else has a death wish.

Sorry guys, but here I go... ...
The two main problems with many drivers, especially the youger ones are clear to me.
First, they weren't trained properly. I had my mother in my ear for six months in the staionwagon and my father on my keester in the pickup truck. The lecture was continuous. He11, kids today barely use the rear view mirror !!!
Second, they have no conception of the consequences of an accident. Collisions are so glamorized in movies leaving young people oblivious to the reality of blood and broken bones.

There... ... ... I'm better now #ad

I'm not a big rig driver or anything like that, but it boggles me to hear people say bad things and cus at the 18 wheelers on the road. Don't they reolize that everything thing they got came on a truck at some point!

I see how so many other drivers treat the bikers. "some of my best friends..... " so, I provide the "portable wall" for them when I can. Dipsh!t nails me, there's paperwork involved #ad
(if he's lucky). . DS nails biker, the coroner does the paperwork #ad
. we should all watch out for each other, both for 'defense' and for courteous favors.

Gosh, I'm glad I'm not the only one who churns when those yuppie f**ks do that pass on right thing, it sure hurts their pompous a$$ ego when you smoke um! Yesterday there was a dip$hit in a Farrari (dlr plates) who used every gear, lane, and chance only to get nowhere... a few miles later man in blue had him. . I just waved and smiled at the jerk! #ad

His motor was a screamer but he hadn't a clue on how to use it.

Jeez, this is one of my favorite 'pet peeves'!!

Sometimes my wife loses the color in her pretty face, and her voice goes up an octave or two, but a long time ago I had it with merging vehicles... . I too don't give way unless there is a reason like stated above!

A long time ago I got a ticket (which I felt was unjustified) for merging onto a freeway. That's when I learned that the traffic flow, not those merging, have the right of way!

Too many people merging act as if THEY HAD the right of way!! #ad

If I'm on cruise control why should I shut it off and have to slow, when they can either put the pedal to the metal or back off and get behind me? I think part of the problem is that they don't think (#1) and that when they do, they don't want to be behind a big truck (#2, or their attention is elsewhere until they realize they are out of 'onramp'!

I get frustrated when towing our trailer, being restricted to the right lane or the two right lanes. If traffic allows, I'll change lanes and let the merging traffic have the lane all to themselves and get back in later on! But it galls me when I'm stuck and they want to poke along.

I'm shopping for a real loud horn to replace the wimpy OEM DC horn!

Just a note. I completely understand these feelings of frustration. Lord knows I've wanted to put the Pit manuever on a few stupid, inconsiderate individuals. But, I have resisted. Lack of courtesy is probably the leading cause of "Road Rage". Most people don't even know that they are doing it. So I have to agree, drivers are under trained. Just my $. 02.

This really hits home with me too!

I'm usually towing a 4-horse slant with some pretty expensive horseflesh inside. Nothing steams me more that when some @$$&hole pulls out in front of me causing me to slam on my brakes and throw my horses down in the trailer. Imagine standing up in a trailer with no hands to brace yourself in turns and abrupt stops! Livestock really have it rough when being transported. If I didn't have my precious cargo on board, I'd be tempted to just run into them and let the massive ranch hand front bumper do the damage, but instead, I just steam a while.....
